Member of Technical Staff, Platform Engineer

About the role

An AI-native wealth management firm is hiring a Platform Engineer to own the foundation everything else runs on: the infrastructure, backend systems, and developer experience that let a small team ship AI agents into a regulated, high-stakes domain without slowing down. Agents are the primary users of the system of record, operating at scale across every client, all the time. That puts unusual demands on the platform. Reliability, cost, and performance are not afterthoughts, they are the product.

What you will do

• Build the core infrastructure and backend systems that everything else runs on
• Build safe execution environments for AI agents
• Build developer tooling that lets the team ship fast without slowing down
• Own performance and cost optimization as the company scales

What I am looking for

• 5+ years of experience in backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering
• Treats reliability, cost, and performance as part of the product
• Able to work from the New York office 5 days a week
