Partner Data Analyst
About the role
A profitable, fast-growing technology company serving credit unions is hiring a Partner Data Analyst to take full ownership of how its credit union partners' data gets into the platform. Partner volume is growing fast, and the Partner Success team is spending its time fixing data problems instead of building relationships. The company needs a curious, pragmatic owner with an 'art of the possible' mindset: someone who enjoys messy relational data, keeps asking questions until they have the answer, and can find workable solutions within the real limits of traditional financial institutions. You would start as the go-to data troubleshooter and can quickly grow into a data leadership and governance role.
What you will do
- Own data mapping for every new partner: take data from each credit union's banking core processor and map it into the platform so it can be ingested and used correctly
- Fix live data issues fast and pragmatically, such as fields not mapping as expected or campaign logic not being applied correctly. Your time will shift between onboarding and troubleshooting, anywhere from 50/50 to 90/10 in either direction
- Turn complex technical findings into clear, simple explanations that Partner Success Managers can pass on to partners, with patience for teammates who are not technical
- Write down and structure a data mapping process that has so far been passed along by word of mouth, working directly with the CPO and CTO
- Build reusable SQL, Python and JavaScript checks, automation and governance standards that stop the same problems from coming back and reduce reliance on Engineering
What I am looking for
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a data analyst, solutions engineer, or data ops / integration analyst
- Enjoys messy relational data and keeps asking questions until they have the answer
- A pragmatic 'art of the possible' mindset, able to find workable solutions within the real limits of traditional financial institutions
- Patient communicator who can explain technical findings simply to non-technical teammates
- Able to work from the New York office 5 days a week
About the company
A technology company that helps credit unions build deeper, more personal relationships with their members at scale. It serves a large and growing base of credit union partners, from small institutions to very large ones, in a heavily regulated and underserved market. It has been profitable for more than two years and is growing quickly. It is a team of about 16 that is heavily in the office in New York, promotes from within, and gives everyone daily access to the founders. The culture is built on ownership and initiative, collaboration over ego, kindness, and a pursuit of excellence.
